Francisco Lopez-Jimenez M.D., MSc., is a cardiologist with specialty interest in prevention and is the Chair of the Division of Preventive Cardiology. His clinical focus includes:

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Lopez-Jimenez is active in research related to heart disease prevention, identifying the patient at risk for heart attacks and strokes, and as Codirector of Artificial Intelligence in Cardiology he conducts numerous studies applying artificial intelligence to detect heart disease. As the Editor-in-Chief of Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health he promotes the diffusion of scientific knowledge in the medical community with focus on digital health.
